Keke Palmer has revealed that she is pregnant after dramatically unveiling her baby bump during her Saturday Night Live opening monologue.
The 29-year-old actress hosted the US comedy sketch show this weekend, and during her opening monologue, she announced to the live studio audience and viewers that she is an expectant parent.
The Nope star had taken on hosting duties for the first time on the late-night show - using the moment to address pregnancy "rumors" circulating on the internet.
Palmer pulled her blazer open and showed her baby bump before cradling it in front of the audience who enthusiastically burst into cheers and applause.
Check out the moment below:While closing the buttons on her jacket, Palmer then said, "I gotta say, it is bad when people on the Internet spread rumors about you, but it’s even worse when they’re correct!"
She then quipped about how she had been trying to keep her pregnancy on the "down low" so she doesn't lose sponsorship deals, including one with a liquor label.
"People kept coming up to me, 'congratulations', and I'm like, 'shh, can you all stop? I have got a liquor sponsorship on the line! Let the cheque clear then we can get to the damn baby," she said.
The Akeelah and the Bee star - who is thought to be in a relationship with actor Darius Jackson - described her pregnancy as "the biggest blessing".
"Guys, I'm gonna be a mom!", she said, before jokingly adding, "Even though some people feel a little weird about me having a baby because I was a child actor...I just wanna say, look, I'm 29, I'm grown, I have sex, I own a home, I stormed the Capitol on January 6, you know? Things adults do."
The Hustlers star has largely kept her relationship with Jackson private. When appearing on The Tamron Hall Show in November 2021, she opened up about becoming "Instagram official" with her boyfriend - although the pictures are no longer on her page.
"It became more difficult to hide," she said at the time. "We spend all this time together, and he really is my closest friend, so it just becomes a thing where I'm not gonna hide something that makes me happy."
"It's not gonna be everything you see, my job is my job, but at the end of the day this is somebody that is important to me so why not," Palmer added.
The True Jackson, VP alum also said her boyfriend is "very industry-adjacent," explaining, "I've always been somebody that hasn't wanted too much industry stuff in my life, he's very industry-adjacent, meaning he understands it but that's not what he's about."
That same month, Palmer shared a video on TikTok with Jackson, in which she held up a fan to hide her kissing him. "Lady miss takes what she WANTS," she wrote in the overlay text of the clip.
