Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are celebrating their remarkable 35 years of marriage.
The Hollywood power couple - who started dating as co-stars in the 1988 drama Lemon Sky - took to their Instagram to mark the special occasion over the weekend.
The 65-year-old Footloose star shared a heartwarming throwback photo of himself and Sedgwick, in which he and The Closer actress are cuddled up on a chair. Bacon is also seen planting a kiss on Sedgwick's head as she smiles at the camera.
"35 years feels like a heartbeat. #Anniversary," the actor wrote in the caption.
The Brooklyn Nine-Nine actress also shared a nostalgic photo of the pair on her page, writing in the caption: "It was 1987- on the set of 'Lemon Sky' - I met a man named Kevin. Happy 35 my love."
Both posts were inundated with congratulatory messages from the couple's famous friends and fans.
Actress Rita Wilson wrote: "You guys! Happy Anniversary! Can you believe it? It goes so fast! We are 35 soon to be 36!" while TV host Chelsea Handler shared two heart emojis.
Singer Maggie Louie said: "It’s beautiful to witness. Wrote a book. Tell the rest of us shlubs the secret to keep in a good thing," and a fan added: "When you're with the right partner, I am sure it does. You two are aging like fine wine too! Happy anniversary."
Sedgwick first met Bacon when she was 12 years old and went to see him perform in New York. However, the pair re-met decades later on the Lemon Sky set in 1988.
"I was knocked out," Bacon told PEOPLE of first meeting Sedgwick, "I thought she was amazing." But, it was not love at first sight for the both of them, as he added: "She wasn't really into it at first, I had to chip away at her."
Though Sedgwick revealed that she was not as immediately entranced as Bacon, the actress said she knew he was the one for her after their first date. "I remember waking up and going, 'I feel like home. I realized, 'Oh, that was him,'" she remarked.
The couple ended up getting engaged at the end of 1987 and eventually tied the knot on September 4, 1988. They share two older kids: Travis, 34, and Sosie, 31.
Speaking about their incredible union which has spanned for three decades, Sedgwick told E! News that the key is to not expect fireworks at every moment.
"Sometimes there are sparks, sometimes there's just chicken," she said, explaining that chicken may not always be exciting but is "always good and reliable".
She went on to say that the best piece of advice she has is "not to take advice from celebrities about the secret to a happy marriage".
