Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson were spotted holding hands during a thrill-seeking ride at a theme park over the weekend.
Per People, the pair were joined by friends on a rollercoaster at Knott's Scary Farm in Buena Park, California.
The 41-year-old influencer and businesswoman - who is currently in the midst of her divorce from rapper Kanye West - was seen beaming from ear to ear as she held the SNL star's hand.
It's no surprise that the photos, obtained by People, have caused countless surprise reactions on social media, however, the outlet reports that the pair are "just friends".
"They hang in the same circles so they will be together from time to time," an insider told the publication. "It's just friends hanging out."
They were joined for the outing by Kim's sister Kourtney Kardashian and her fiancé Travis Barker. Davidson, 27, and Barker, 45, know each other through their mutual friend Machine Gun Kelly.
What's more, Kim and Pete got to know each other pretty well last month when she took over hosting duties on SNL.
In fact, in one of their several skits together, Kim and Pete actually shared an onscreen kiss during their Jasmine & Aladdin skit.
Years prior, they hung out at Kid Cudi's birthday party in January 2019, along with Timothée Chalamet and Kanye.
After seeing the images make rounds on social media, fans rushed to Twitter to react to the unlikely pairing as they sparked romance rumors online.
"The possibility of kim kardashian and pete davidson being together…we’re really living in unprecedented times," one wrote.
Another tweeted: "PETE AND KIM ???? WHAT???"
A third added: "I’m cancelling my Halloween plans so I can dedicate my thoughts to what really matters today… The Pete Davidson/Kim K dating rumours."
While a fourth wrote: "KIM KARDASHIAN MIGHT BE DATING PETE DAVIDSON AND I DIDNT KNOW I COULD CARE ABOUT CELEBRITY GOSSIP UNTIL RIGHT NOW."
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians met rapper Kanye in 2012 and they wed in Florence, Italy, in 2014.
Following a challenging period in their relationship last year, the mom-of-four filed for divorce from him in February after six years of marriage.
They've remained amicable as they focus on co-parenting their kids: daughters North, eight, and Chicago, three, and sons Saint, five, and Psalm, two.
