Lady Gaga has revealed a plot twist that was supposed to feature in her recent film, House of Gucci.
According to the pop-star turned actress, a steamy sex scene between her character Patrizia Reggiani, and Salma Hayek’s, Giuseppina "Pina" Auriemma, was edited out of the movie.
Even though Gaga and Hayek filmed the hot scene, unfortunately, it didn't make the final cut.
"There is a whole side of this film that you did not see where Pina and I developed a sexual relationship," Gaga said last week at an MGM Studios House of Gucci panel event in the UK.
Watch Lady Gaga open up about her "hot" sex scene with Salma Hayek in House of Gucci:She went on to thank director Ridley Scott for being so open to the idea.
The 'Bad Romance' hitmaker said: "Okay, yeah, director's cut—who knows. This is a testament to him as a director because he allowed us to go there and I remember being on set with Salma and going, 'So after Maurizio dies maybe it gets hot.'"
The audience laughed as Hayek responded jokingly: "You think she is kidding."
Released in November 2021, House of Gucci dramatizes the real-life Gucci family saga. The movie centers on Reggiani, who marries into the high-fashion family and later hires a hitman to kill her husband Maurizio.
Alongside Gaga and Hayek the Ridley Scott picture stars Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Jeremy Irons, and Al Pacino.
Since being released it's garnered mixed reviews from fans and critics - though many have flocked to Twitter to suggest it might have been better received were Hayek and Gaga's sex scene not cut.
"I’m not gonna say this would make me want to see the movie more but…" one person tweeted.
"Who's dumbass idea was it for that not to make it into the final cut," another asked.
"This movie is three hours long and they didn’t have time for THAT??" added a third.
"I am devastated. They should have gone there!" wrote a fourth.
Meanwhile, Gaga's statement has left a lot of people wanting one thing: the director's cut.
"Public directors cut NOW," tweeted one.
"Waiting for the directors cut…" wrote another.
"Release the directors cut or else," added a third.
