The Las Vegas Raiders became NFL's second team to require fans to be vaccinated if they wish to attend home games this season, the club has announced.

With their regular-season opener set for September 13 against the Baltimore Ravens, fans entering Allegiant Stadium will need to show proof of full Covid-19 vaccination through the Clear app.

Fans who have not been vaccinated can still attend, as long as they get jabbed on-site and wear a mask inside the stadium, NBC News reports.

The club said it's the first NFL team "to announce a vaccine/no mask policy" however the New Orleans Saints were first in requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination for fans to attend games.

"Health and safety have always been our No. 1 priority," Raiders owner Mark Davis said in a statement.

"After consultation with Governor Sisolak and other community leaders, this policy ensures that we will be able to operate at full capacity without masks for fully vaccinated fans for the entire season."

The team statement did not state a policy for fans not old enough to get vaccinated.

The Raiders, who had previously made their home in Oakland, Los Angeles and Oakland again, played their first season in Las Vegas in 2020.

The Raiders' rules differ from what the Saints announced last week. At the Superdome, fans will be allowed to enter if they have proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test from the past 72 hours.

All fans will also be required to wear masks regardless of vaccination status.

The organization required all full-time employees in its business and football staff to be vaccinated back in May, and its vaccination rate for players is among the highest in the league, per Yahoo News.

It comes as the Falcons created another benchmark moment by becoming the first NFL team to reach 100 percent vaccination, according to an NFL press release.

With each player now vaccinated against coronavirus, they will not be subjected to daily testing and will be able to spend off-field time together, per NFL protocol.
