Lil Nas X has answered children's hilariously awkward questions about coming out.
The rapper also explained what it means to be "unapologetically you" after he was slammed for the possible "negative influence" that his song 'Montero (Call Me By Your Name)' could have on children.
However, while conservatives might not be a fan of the rapper, this video interview shows that kids certainly are.
Appearing on the Wednesday (14 April) episode of the YouTube series Arts & Raps, he was interviewed by its two young hosts, Zaria and Dilan.
The interview saw the youngsters start to paint before Zaria asked the rapper what it means when a person comes out of the closet.
Watch the rapper answer the children's questions below:"It means you're like, 'Hey everybody, I'm this thing, and you guys didn't even know that, but now you know,'" Lil Nas X said.
Zaria asks the rapper why a person might be in the closet, and the rapper said it could be because when they say they are "this thing" the other person's "mind shifts completely", despite "how close you are to them or whatever."

Dilan then shared his very literal closet story. He said: "Me and my older cousin, he keeps pushing my brother into the closet. And we close the door and blink the lights on and off, and then say '666' or 'Bloody Mary'. And then he swore he saw something."
Struggling to stop himself from laughing, Lil Nas X said: "that's exactly what happened to me. "That's exactly what I meant when I said I was coming out of the closet," he said.

The rapper was then asked what it means to unapologetically be yourself, something he promotes in his music, and he said it means "just doing yourself at all costs, no matter who's watching."
"It gets really hard, because everybody in the world, we always think about what everybody else is thinking about us," Lil Nas X said. "Sometimes, we forget to think about what we think about ourselves, you know?"
Zaria said she was "really inspired" by Lil Nas X as he's "not afraid to be you" and doesn't care what the world thinks of him.
However, reacting to her praise, he said: "I won't say that I don’t care. It's like I'm able to care and push it off my shoulder."
