Adele and Lizzo really know how to get the party started!

The pair recently admitted that they smuggled tequila and wine into the Grammys so that they could get drunk together and the internet is loving this new nugget of information.

Speaking during a recent interview with Elvis Duran, the 'Good As Hell' singer said that the stars got "so drunk" at the 65th installment of the glitzy event last week that they forgot what award they were on.

Lizzo explained that the contraband drinks were smuggled in in flasks, as the pair made their way through them during the awards.

Watch Lizzo speak about the moment here:

"I was legitimately so drunk. Me and Adele were drinking so much that we didn’t even really know what the categories were at this point," Lizzo recalled. "We were like, 'Wait. Did they do best new artist?' We didn’t even know when it was time and they would just call out names so we were like, 'Smile, smile.'"

And of course, fans took to Twitter to talk about the so-called scandal.

"Lizzo admitting her and Adele were so drunk they didn’t even know what the categories were at the point AOTY was announced," this user tweeted.

Another added: "I'm screaming oh my god love her and the story of her and adele being so drunk that they didn't know what the categories were by that point @lizzo @TheGNShow #TheGNShow."

Others described the duo as "iconic," stating that they might as well add Taylor Swift into the mix too.

"Lizzo and Adele sitting together is iconic. Also Taylor swift has gotta be drunk drunk the way she rockin out."

"Lizzo Adele & Taylor were representing the drunk girls you become besties with in the club bathroom at the grammys last night."

And these comments expressed exactly what we were all thinking.

"I wanna get drunk with lizzo and adele."

"I wanna get drunk with adele and lizzo cause i know they be on one."

And the good vibes didn't stop there.

Elsewhere in the interview, the Grammy-winning recording artist also talked about her emotions when she was called out as the winner for Record of the Year with her hit 'About Damn Time.'

"When they called my name I was in total shock because I didn’t expect to win at all," she said, adding that she had an "entire flask" of alcohol with Adele. "Let alone a big one... [But] I always knew I had a record of the year."

While the singer admitted that she didn't have a proper speech prepared, she did shout out her celebrity bestie - and drinking buddy - saying: "Let me tell you something. Me and Adele are having a good time just enjoying ourselves, rooting for our friends. This is an amazing night, this is so unexpected.

"Positive and feel-good music wasn’t mainstream at that point and I felt very misunderstood," she added. "I felt on the outside looking in, but I stayed true to myself because I wanted to make the world a better place."

Adele herself also had a great night. Minus the fun she was having with Lizzo, she also managed to bag herself a Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance for her number one hit 'Easy on Me.'
