If you've ever wanted to star as an extra in what's likely to be a hit TV show, then today's your lucky day, providing that you're "funky" and "unusual" looking.

This is because the Lord of the Rings TV show has put out a casting call for extras with "an overbite, face burns, long skinny limbs, deep cheekbones, lines on your face, acne scars, ears that stick out, bulbous or interesting noses, small eyes, big eyes, skinny faces, missing bones".

The call was made by BGT Actors Models & Talent to New Zealanders with unique appearances who have no qualms about being in a few shots of a major series.

Cast your mind back to the trailer for the Fellowship of the Ring:

But it's worth noting that you don't necessarily have to have any of the features listed above, they've just been provided to give you an idea of the sort of look that BGT Actors Models & Talent are seeking.

You don't just need the look either. You will also have to have a pretty free diary and reside in Aukland or New Zeland.

All you have to do to apply is to send a clear picture of yourself without makeup here.

This is what we know about the new TV series so far:

However, this is not the first time that a casting call has been made for the Lord of the Rings TV series. The show previously put out a casting call for people to pay monsters in the Amazon show, which is scheduled to begin filming this year.

It called for actors with wrinkly faces and "hairy people of all ages and ethnicities". The agency added: "HAIR HAIR HAIR - if you have natural red hair, white hair, or lots and lots of freckles."

The advert also called for "long lithe dancers", "stocky mean-looking bikers", and "redheads of all ages, shapes and sizes".
