Mama June Shannon has officially lost custody of her daughter Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson to her 22-year-old daughter Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efird.
As reported by The Sun, a Georgia court document stated that a judge has awarded sole custody of 16-year-old Alana to her older sister Lauryn, away from their 42-year-old mother June.
The judge wrote that Lauryn "has had guardianship of the minor child" since April 29, 2019. "It is in the best interest of the child that the plaintiff is awarded sole custody," they wrote.
The mother will only be allowed to contact the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star by phone every day, and will have to pay her guardian $800 per month in child support until Alana turns 18 years old.

Per Page Six, the court manuscripts provided detail into Mama June’s income, stating that she earns about $25,000 per month, depending on "production and endorsements."
However, at the time of the filing, June's reality TV show had "not been renewed for a new season," so her only "certain income is [because of her] disability in the amount of $1,015.00 per month."
Lauryn first became Alana's temporary guardian in August 2019 after their mom was arrested on possession charges that year with her then-boyfriend Geno Doak.
The older sister was permitted by her father, Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson, to seek guardianship over her younger sister.
Now, Lauryn is the reality TV star's sole decision-making authority until she reaches legal age, and she has the right to make the day-to-day care decisions for her.
Additionally, Lauryn will have the choice to permit visitation rights between June and Alana. The judge also ruled that both parties have agreed to the arrangement set in the document.

Lauryn and her husband Josh Efird, 25, welcomed a baby boy and a girl in May, The Sun reported. She is already a mother to son Bentley, 10 months, and daughter Ella, 4.
With the addition of the couple's newborn twins and recent custody of Alana, the mother of four's family has grown.
It certainly looks like June is focusing on her new journey as a wife as the first-time bride was seen celebrating her marriage with her husband on a trip to Panama City.
Page Six reported that Mama June secretly married her partner Justin Stroud. The pair reportedly tied the knot on March 23 at the Wilkinson County Court in Georgia in a ceremony officiated by Judge Amanda Holder.
