Margot Robbie has been applauded after a video of her using sign language to talk to a deaf fan resurfaced online.

The 33-year-old Australian actress - who recently starred in the hit film Barbie - is always an absolute delight, and she was even more so when she came across a deaf fan.

During the premiere of her 2022 film Amsterdam, a man handed Robbie a piece of paper, which appeared to be a sign language cheat sheet.

"For me?", the Birds of Prey star asked, before exclaiming: "I know it!"

Watch the heartwarming moment below:

The actress - who hasn't spoken about her ability to sign - then gave her belongings to a member of her team before signing the alphabet. She gestured to the fan it was "nice to meet" him and the two proceeded to take a selfie together.

The touching exchange has gone viral on social media platforms, amassing 335.1K likes. Many people flooded the comments section with praise for the beloved actress.

One user complimented: "She really took time to free her hands and communicate with a fan to make them seen. She's so precious."

Another said: "Everything I learn about this woman makes me love her more and more."

A third wrote: "Lovely to see Margot Robbie signing with a deaf fan. Even if it is just the alphabet - knowing some basic signs makes all the difference."

A fourth person penned: "So excited to [see] the world catch up with my favorite producer in Hollywood. Actress, producer, businesswoman, incredible human being. She’s so much more than just Harley Quinn…"

Robbie has been making plenty of headlines over the past few months for the stunning looks she’s been wearing on red carpets and press runs to promote her role as the titular character in Barbie.

The Greta Gerwig-helmed movie about the famous Mattel dolls hit theaters on July 21 with an absolutely stacked cast of stars that includes Ryan Gosling as Ken, Will Ferrell, Kate McKinnon, Ncuti Gatwa, Michael Cera, Simu Liu, America Ferrera, Dua Lipa, and John Cena.

Despite being released last weekend, the movie has already racked up some pretty impressive numbers especially considering that the viewing schedule conflicted with Christopher Nolan’s thriller, Oppenheimer.

Not only has the 39-year-old director made history for having the biggest opening weekend for a film directed by a woman, but has also managed to rake in a whopping $377 million during that time too.

As per The Guardian, Barbie claimed the top spot in North America (US and Canada combined) with a massive $155 million in ticket sales from 4,243 locations, surpassing The Super Mario Bros Movie and every Marvel film released this year.

Barbie is available to watch in theatres now.
