Social media users have reacted to finding out that Margot Robbie is married to a famous filmmaker...

As you have probably seen, pink has completely taken over our lives because the Greta Gerwig-directed film, Barbie, hit theaters all over the world on July 21.

Everyone is praising Margot Robbie for her role as the titular character and Ryan Gosling for starring as Ken, as well as additional members of the cast, including Will Ferrell, Kate McKinnon, Ncuti Gatwa, Michael Cera, Simu Liu, America Ferrera, and Dua Lipa.

Released last weekend, reviewers and moviegoers have said that the comedy flick brings to life the beloved doll in a delightful and empowering animated adventure that enchants audiences of all ages.

Due to the film's success, many people are reflecting on the 33-year-old Australian actress' larger-than-life on-screen characters such as Barbie, Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey and Suicide Squad, and Tonya Harding in I, Tonya.

However, because Robbie is extremely private and has no social media (except for an inactive Facebook page), some users have only just realized that she has been married for four years to British film producer, Tom Ackerley.

Of course, they shared their shock on social media as one stunned user penned: "SORRY BUT WHAT MARGOT ROBBIE HAS A HUSBAND???!" They also exclaimed: "IM NEW TO THIS PROFOUND INFORMATION ABOUT MARGOT ROBBIE BEING MARRIED."

A third chimed in: "JUST FOUND OUT MARGOT ROBBIE IS MARRIED???? Don’t text. Don’t call. I’m mourning."

And, a fourth wrote: "Margot Robbie is married?? I have never heard a single thing about that man."

The Wolf of Wall Street actress quietly married the 33-year-old producer in 2016 after meeting three years earlier.

The couple first met in 2013 on the set of the World War II drama Suite Française, where he was an assistant director and she was in front of the camera. They began a relationship a year later and eventually tied the knot in Australia's Byron Bay, per PEOPLE.

The pair keep their relationship private and didn't walk a red carpet together until the fall of 2017, nearly a year after their December 2016 wedding. However, they work side-by-side as they co-founded a production company called LuckyChap Entertainment with friends Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr.

The company has produced several films and television series including I, Tonya, Birds of Prey, and the latest live-action movie Barbie - all of which starred Robbie.

The award-winning actress spoke about working closely with her husband in an interview in The Mirror, saying: "We started our production company [LuckyChap Entertainment] with our best friends, and it continues to be a wonderful group dynamic. We all really work well together. I feel very lucky."

Ackerley was a producer on the movie based on the Mattel dolls and accompanied Robbie as she traveled with her costars around the globe for the press tour. He was seen on the red carpet with his wife in Korea, Australia, and Los Angeles.

The married couple was all smiles as they walked the red carpet at the world premiere, with Robbie channeling 1960s Barbie in a black strapless gown and shoulder-length gloves, and Ackerley taking on a role as a modern-day Ken doll in a black tuxedo.
