Margot Robbie recently revealed that she snuck in an unscripted kiss with her co-star Brad Pitt while filming their latest movie, Babylon.

During a new interview with E! News, the 32-year-old admitted that her original kiss was not actually in the script and instead, she had improvised the whole thing with a bit of a push from the director, Damien Chazelle.

Referring to the kiss, Robbie told the outlet: "That wasn't in the script, but I thought, 'When else am I gonna get the chance to kiss Brad Pitt? I'm just gonna go for it.'"

She then jumped into action, giving Chazelle a new idea for the scene.

"I said, ‘Damien, I think Nellie would just go up and kiss Jack. And Damien was like, 'Well, she could – wait, hold on. You just wanna kiss Brad Pitt.’

"And I was like, 'Oh, so sue me. This opportunity might never come up again.' And he was like, 'It does work for the character,' and I was like, 'I think so.'"

After one successful take of the kiss, Chazelle was impressed enough to ask them to do the scene again.

"He was like, 'No, do it again. That really works.' I was like, 'Oh great,'" the Wolf of Wall Street star joked.

And it seems as though Pitt wasn't the only star she kissed that day: "I actually kissed Katherine [Waterston], as well, but I don't know if that made the cut."

The interview comes ahead of Damien Chazelle’s latest blockbuster which is set to be released later this month.

As per IMDb, Babylon is "a tale of outsized ambition and outrageous excess, it traces the rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in early Hollywood."

Both Pitt and Robbie will feature in the three-hour-long drama-comedy alongside a star-studded lineup - including former Spiderman actor Toby Maguire and The Vampire Diaries' Phoebe Tonkin.

Speaking of the upcoming movie, Chazelle told Entertainment Weekly that this project has been a "dream" of his for a long time now.

"The whole process of making it has been longer than I expected," the Oscar-winning director said. "But at the same time I was pinching myself, because this project has been a dream for so long. So actually getting to make it, as taxing as it might have been, was a pretty blissful experience."

Later on in the interview, he added that the purpose of the film is to "take an honest, unvarnished look at the good and the bad of a really seismic shift" through the use of different characters.

Babylon hits theaters on December 23.
