People are now roasting Matt Rife after another interview recently resurfaced amid his ongoing controversy.

Now, the comedian has had a difficult few weeks, ever since the release of his Netflix special.

Natural Selection was supposed to be a funny set curated by the 28-year-old comedian, who gained traction for his looks on TikTok, though it turned out to be anything but.

One particular joke referencing domestic violence fell pretty flat with audiences who were horrified by the serious subject being made light of.

Rife opened the show with an offensive "joke" about domestic violence, telling the audience: "I've only been to Baltimore one time, and the hostess who seats you had a black eye - a full black eye. It wasn't like, 'What happened?' It was pretty obvious what happened."

He continued: "But we couldn't get over, like, this is the face of the company? This is who you have greeting people? And my boy, who I was with, was like: 'Yeah, I feel bad for her, man, I feel like they should put her in the kitchen or something where nobody has to see her face.'

"And I was like: 'Yeah, but I feel like if she could cook, she wouldn't have that black eye.'"

The joke obviously didn't land too well, even for the audience in attendance who called Rife out at the time, to which he responded: "[I'm] testing the water, seeing if y'all are going to be fun or not. I figured we start the show with domestic violence, the rest of the show should be pretty smooth sailing," adding: "Of course, I felt bad for her. She should have had her protection crystals, you know what I mean?"

And things only continued to get worse and worse for the star as he thought it would be hilarious to follow up with a message directed at those who called him out via social media.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Rife uploaded a picture of himself alongside the caption: "If you've ever been offended by a joke I've told - here's a link to my official apology."

Under that, there was a link that he'd titled: "Tap to solve your issue," which took people to a website where people could buy helmets designed for people with special needs.

Big yikes.

Of course, social media wasn't taking this issue lightly, with many taking to X to slam the comedian for his decisions.

"Didn’t know who matt rife was until today but i am shocked to hear that you were all letting him get away with not being funny bc he was hot," wrote one harsh user. "He’s not hot. Real uncanny valley type of face. Looks like he’s wearing a mask of a human. Too much filler face."

Ouch.

"I am most pleased to see that Matt Rife’s Netflix special is tanking, god willing, he drops that Onlyfans link soon," added another.

A third also described him as a "misogynistic a**hole" writing: "Yall are so shocked that Matt Rife is a misogynistic a**hole. All i’m saying is, he wasn’t funny on wild n out and he is not funny now."

The drama continues as people started digging up some of the other controversial things the 28-year-old has said in previous interviews - and let's just say this one is pretty interesting.

While appearing on an episode of Tana Mongeau's Cancelled podcast, Rife was asked if he "hated" anybody to which he went on a monologue about the concept of "jealousy" and how the people who hate him must be jealous of him.

Things took a bit of a confusing turn when Mongeau then asked him if he thought people were jealous of Osama Bin Laden, the leader of Al-Qaeda, the terrorist group responsible for 9/11.

Weirdly enough, Rife replied "yes."

"Crying over Matt Rife on Tana’s podcast looking like an idiot," wrote one user while another added: "No way this dumba** said yes-".

"She’s funnier than his entire set," said a third.

I mean, I'm not sure if anyone is "jealous" of a terrorist leader, but go off I guess?
