Friends fans have been left so devastated by the death of Matthew Perry they have said they'll "never be able to watch" the show again.
The actor, 54, was found dead at his home on Saturday afternoon, with numerous reports stating that he had reportedly drowned in his hot tub.
Perry was best known for his role as Chandler Bing in the US sitcom, in which he starred from 1994 until 2004, having joined the show at just 24 years old.
While Friends has been a fan-favorite for decades, some viewers have admitted they'll find it difficult to watch it again now that Perry is gone.
They took to Twitter to share their heartbreak, writing: "MATTHEW PERRY DIED?!!!???? I’m not okay. I’ll never watch friends again," and: "I‘m never going to be able to watch Friends again the same way as I used to."
Another wrote: "My favourite character Friends is no more. This loss is so personal. I will never be able to watch Friends again without crying. Thank you for all the laughter and for making me feel good in those times when i just wanted to cry. You will always be missed."
One added: "I can never recover from mathew perry’s death i can never watch friends again," while another commented: "i know his death is gonna hit me hard. friends has been my comfort show for so long. chandler was easily my fav character because i was able to relate to him. watching friends will never be the same again. rest easy, matthew perry, you sure left a mark on this world."
A heartbroken fan added: "I’ll never be able to watch Friends again without sobbing. This really, really sucks. I can’t believe we lost Matthew Perry."
Following the news of his death, Perry's family shared a heartbreaking statement, telling People: "We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother.
"Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend. You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love."
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner also revealed that Perry's cause of death has been "deferred" as his initial autopsy results are inconclusive pending a toxicology report.
According to their report, via NBC News, a further investigation has been requested before a determination will be made which will likely take several weeks, however, the actor's body is ready to be released to his family.
Perry had starred in many film and TV projects outside of Friends, including The West Wing and 17 Again, but had wanted to be remembered for the work he did to help others battling addiction.
He previously said: "I've had a lot of ups and downs in my life. But the best thing about me is that if an alcoholic or drug addict comes up to me and says, 'Will you help me?' I will always say, 'Yes, I know how to do that. I will do that for you, even if I can't always do it for myself!'
"When I die, it would be nice if Friends were listed far behind the things I did to try to help other people. I know it won't happen, but it would be nice."
Our thoughts remain with Matthew Perry's family, friends, and fans at this devastating time.
