Meat Loaf's heartbroken daughters Amanda and Pearl have penned a thoughtful tribute to their late dad.
The legendary rock singer passed away at the age of 74 on January 20. His family has confirmed they will not be releasing his cause of death.
The 'I'd Do Anything For Love' hitmaker was surrounded by his daughters Amanda and Pearl, his wife Deborah, and several close friends at the time of his death.
Pearl, 47, posted a picture of herself hugging him onstage, writing: "I love you always, no matter what. I love you with my whole heart. We got you. Forever."
Meanwhile, Amanda, 41, uploaded an album of pictures of the two of them through the years and wrote: "I love you daddy always and forever."
Meat Loaf, whose real name was Michael Aday, shared his children with his first wife Leslie whom he was married to for about two decades until 2001.
Leslie had Pearl from a previous marriage but Meat Loaf adopted her. A few years later, he and Leslie welcomed Amanda.
Following the sad news of his passing, Amanda wrote on Facebook: "Although his passing was very sudden, my sister Pearl and I along with his closest friends were able to be with him holding his hands and showering him with love in his final hours.
"I will have much more to say in the coming days as I process through my grief. For now, I will just say that he was simply larger than life and I will miss him every day for the rest of mine."
Amanda also spoke to People Magazine about her beloved father's passing, saying that he was a "complex man with a lot of passion, who wore his heart on his sleeve" throughout his life. "So, he would tell you, 'F**k you, I love you,'" she adds.
"When we were home, he was just dad. He wasn't Meat Loaf anymore," she added.
Meat Loaf's family announced his death in a statement on social media, which read: "Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight surrounded by his wife Deborah, daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends.
"His amazing career spanned 6 decades that saw him sell over 100 Million albums worldwide and star in over 65 movies, including 'Fight Club', 'Focus', 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' and 'Wayne’s World'.
"'Bat Out of Hell' remains one of the top 10 selling albums of all time."
The post continued: "We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man.
"We thank you for your understanding of our need for privacy at this time."
Finally, the statement concluded: "From his heart to your souls…don’t ever stop rocking!"
