Megan Fox did not hesitate to clap back at haters over her latest outfit choice.

Earlier this week, the Transformers star was photographed wearing a completely sheer orange dress by Jean Paul Gaultier, with nipple pasties and nude underwear underneath.

The 37-year-old Hollywood star completed the look with silver necklaces and a '90s-esque hairstyle, with strands falling on both sides of her face.

When her stylist Dimitris Giannetos first shared pictures of the look on Instagram, he was inundated with a few negative comments from users regarding Fox's risqué look.

The Jennifer's Body star then took it upon herself to make a follow-up post to respond to any backlash she might receive for wearing such a thing on her own page.

"Before you start angrily typing - those are not my nipples, calm down," she wrote. "They are safely and completely hidden under nipple covers so no worries. We will all live another day without a rip in the space-time continuum."

In the comments of Fox’s viral post - which has accumulated more than 2.3 million likes - many fans complimented her outfit, while others defended her from online criticism.

One person praised: "People need to touch grass at this point & stop worrying about someone else. Anyways you’re absolutely gorgeous and this outfit is (cat heart-eyed emoji)."

Another user applauded: "So sick of the witch hunt against you. Keep doing you girl." A third commented: "I love you so much! It's frustrating that you ALWAYS have to talk about how you dress. You're beautiful as always."

A fourth shared: "People only comment about things like nipples **so scary** because they are infantile and lack the capacity to self-actualize and come to terms with their own envy. It's also largely a nod to a lack of intellect as they're unable to produce any kind of insult containing any generalized wit."

This isn't the first time that Fox has spoken out about the public reactions to her appearance. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2019, she revealed that she felt sexualized in Hollywood, especially in 2008 when she was described as "Obsession of the Year" in GQ magazine.

"I’m not offended if someone were to say: 'Hey, people think you’re sexy!' I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being sexy," she said. "It’s just a problem that that part was so loud that it muted out the rest of who I was - and has continued to even now."

The Transformers actress also disclosed in an interview with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit's 2023 issue that she has body dysmorphia, explaining: "I don't ever see myself the way other people see me," adding: "There's never a point in my life where I loved my body, never, ever."

The mom of three explained that she's always been conscious of her body, even at a young age. "When I was little, that was an obsession I had of 'but I should look this way'.

"And why I had an awareness of my body that young I'm not sure. The journey of loving myself is going to be never-ending," she said.
