Megan Thee Stallion revealed that still has bullet fragments in her feet after being allegedly shot by Tory Lanez in July 2020.

The 27-year-old 'Savage' rapper covered the July issue of Rolling Stone and discussed the alleged incident and its lasting impact in the interview.

"What nobody knows is, I had to get the surgery the same night [as the alleged incident]," Megan said. "I stayed in the hospital in California for maybe four days. Then I was in New York for a while. Both of my legs wrapped up. I could not walk."

The rapper continued: "I still have bullet fragments in my feet right now. I was very scared that I was not able to be Megan Thee Stallion no more. And I was f***ed up."

Per ET News, in October 2020, 29-year-old Lanez was arrested and charged with assault with a firearm and carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle. He has denied shooting the rapper in both feet.

Before the alleged incident, Megan - whose real name is Megan Pete - told the publication that she believed she and Lanez had "a real connection" that was formed due to the loss of their mothers.

"I thought he knew me. And I never would’ve thought he would’ve shot at me at all," she said. "I never put my hands on this man. I never did anything to him. There was an argument. People argue every day. Friends argue every day."

The 'Sweetest Pie' musician initially told law enforcement that she had injured her feet by stepping on broken glass after the party, The Los Angeles Times reported.

She said she wanted to protect Lanez by keeping the shooting private, however, she decided to disclose in a now-deleted Instagram post that she'd allegedly been shot by him after seeing social media discourse following the viral shooting video.

In the wake of the alleged shooting, Megan has also faced negative comments and false narratives from users on social media platforms.

"I think it’s so crazy that people are able to get online or publish anything that is not a 100 percent fact," Megan said in response, adding: "That really is messing with my life. How are you able to do it and get away with it?"

However, the Grammy award-winning artist praises her fans, who she describes as "Thee Hotties" for caring about her mental health and said she's "trying every day" to get through it and "be good".

"I don't want them to know that I feel like this, because I don't want them to feel like, 'Oh, I got you. I'm breaking you,'" she said.

Lanez has pleaded not guilty to the charges. In April 2022 he was taken into custody for his social media posts directed at Megan and is now barred from speaking publicly about the case.

After the case, which is set to go to trial on September 14, Megan said: "I want him to go to jail. I want him to go under the jail."
