The wait is finally over as the first three installments of Meghan and Harry's bombshell Netflix show have just been released.

In the six-part docuseries - of which the next three episodes will be aired later this month - the couple reminisces on the early stages of their relationship, Prince Harry's experience growing up in the spotlight and losing his mother Princess Diana, and Meghan Markle's first meetings with the Royal Family.

During the first episode, Harry and Meghan discuss their first date in London - with Meghan even saying that her future husband had been late to meet her. "I didn't know him so I was like: 'Oh is this what he does. Got it. This I'm not doing,'" Meghan says.

"A guy with such an ego that any girl would sit around and wait for half an hour for you. I'm not interested in that," she adds.

The couple, however, had enjoyed each other's company so much that they saw each other the next night, even revealing a never-before-seen photo from that second date.

The main theme, however, of the episode was the intrusiveness of the media and how it had deeply affected Prince Harry's mom, Princess Diana, during her tumultuous marriage to the now-King Charles III. He sadly recounted the pressure he felt being forced to "keep calm and carry on," and to "not comment," even mustering up the courage to smile and shake hands with members of the public at his mother's funeral in 1997.

A short clip from the early 90s shows Princess Diana pleading with paparazzi to cease taking photos of her children and to leave the family alone while on a ski holiday.

Meghan and Harry - who refer to each other throughout the docuseries as 'M' and 'H' respectively - touch upon the stress and worry about having news of their budding romance leaked to the press. After the couple heard that the press would be announcing their relationship, they celebrated their final night of privacy by dressing up for Halloween and celebrating with Princess Eugenie and her then-boyfriend Jack.

While the pair initially felt relief as the news broke, they quickly realized that it wasn't going to be easy. Gradually, Prince Harry recounts that Meghan was exposed to vile rumors and tabloid attention - with Meghan adding that he had advised her to not speak to the paparazzi as it fueled UK tabloid gossip that she "loved the attention."

The second and third episodes, also out today, gave Meghan a chance to describe her childhood in the USA and the racial abuse she suffered growing up "fairer skinned" with a "dark-skinned" mom - often being treated as a "minority".

She also recalls her first foray into activism, having penned a letter to a dishwashing liquid brand asking them to change their sexist advertisement.

Episodes four to six will air from December 15 on Netflix.
