Megyn Kelly has challenged Charlize Theron to "f**k her up" after disagreeing with the actress's support for drag queens.

Theron, 47, who previously starred as 52-year-old Fox News anchor Kelly in the film Bombshell, had voiced her support for drag during Sunday's Drag Isn't Dangerous telethon, which raised around $500,000.

A clip went viral of the star reacting to calls for drag queens to be banned from performing in front of children, in which she said: "I will f**k anybody up who is, like, trying to f**k with anything with [drag queens]."

While Theron received a lot of support from fans, one person who was not in her corner was Kelly, who called out the actress.

She said during Friday's episode of Sirius XM's The Megyn Kelly Show: "Okay, so why doesn’t Charlize Theron come and f**k me up? Because I’m 100% against her on this.

"Yes, there's fun drag queen shows - I've been to them. When I lived in Chicago we went to one that was super fun, it was all adults.

"But there are drag queen shows out there right now that are deeply disturbing and they're happening in front of young children."

Kelly alleged that some of the shows could constitute "grooming", adding: "Even she should be against that, trans kid or not," referencing Theron's adopted daughter Jackson who transitioned from male to female.

She added: "What happens is if you introduce sexual behavior, and like sexual references, just sexualization in front of children too young, it gets them used to it. It lures the child into that behavior. So it is a problem, Charlize. Believe me."

While Theron has yet to comment on Kelly's claims, she has been publicly opposed to the proposed laws banning public drag shows in certain states.

She said during the telethon: "There are so many things that are hurting and, really, killing our kids, and we all know what I’m talking about right now and it ain’t no drag queen.

"If you’ve ever seen a drag queen lip-sync for her life, it only makes you happier, it only makes you love more, it makes you a better person.

“Please support all the great organizations that are out there helping all of this nonsense go away like it should. All of these incredibly stupid policies. Bye! No more room for hate, only love, and love equals drag queens!"

Tennessee, Kentucky, and Montana are among the states that have recently proposed legislation cracking down on public drag performances, which has been hit with widespread opposition.

Among the stars that have spoken out against the ban is Lizzo, who brought a troupe of drag queens to perform on stage with her during her recent tour stop in Tennessee in protest at the proposed legislation.
