Mia Khalifa has spoken out about suffering from imposter syndrome during her recent talk at Oxford University.

The Lebanon-born former adult actress - who famously became PornHub's most-watched performer - is well-known to have quit porn due to the industry's contractual exploitation of her.

Oxford Union took to Instagram to make the announcement, writing: "Mia Khalifa was born and raised in Lebanon, moving to America in 2001. After almost a decade, Mia has transitioned to become a modern public figure and influencer, rated the number one emerging influencer of 2022 by Lefty.

"After speaking out a few years ago regarding her experience with contractual exploitation in the adult film industry, Khalifa has worked to educate women about the dangers of exploitation in the field, and will be taking to the stage to talk about boundaries, both personal and professional," they added.

Khalifa, 30, uploaded several photos of herself to her own Instagram from the talk, captioning the images with: "Yesterday speaking to the Oxford Student Union was one of those life experiences where I was fully aware of how lucky I was to be living it the entire time and trying my best not to let a singular moment go for granted… thank you so much to the [Oxford students] for the opportunity to speak at such an historic building and organization.

"I'm humbled and inspired by your passion to instill genuine change in the world and for curating such a diverse list of speakers at your union. What you do is incredible and important and I'm honored to have been on your floor," she contined.

"The imposter syndrome was REAL even though I was there to talk about boundaries and confidence and my life experiences, for which you can judge all you want, but I'm at Oxford for what I've done with my life since then [sic]," it concluded.

The Union has become known for hosting prestigious speakers from all walks of life in the past, including Ukraine's ambassador to the UK Vadym Prystaiko, United States politician Bernie Sanders, and even rapper Bhad Bhabie.

The latter was invited to the prestigious university for a question and answer session on numerous topics - including the $50 million she has earned as an Only Fans creator, her new scholarship fund, and the alleged abuse she suffered at Turn-About Ranch, per TMZ.

Despite being one of the most famous adult actresses, Khalifa previously revealed she was only in the adult industry for "three months" from the end of 2014 to the start of 2015, which she put down to a "rebellious phase".
