Mia Khalifa has been involved in a Twitter row with adult film star Abella Danger after she warned women against going into the adult entertainment industry.

In 2014, Khalifa starred in just 11 films that made her one of PornHub's biggest stars even to this day (despite the fact she says she is not profiting from the existing circulation of her content in any way).

In a TikTok video posted earlier this week, the 27-year-old opened up about the lasting effect her three-month stint in the industry has had on her life.

The video can be seen below:

The Lebanese-American sports pundit wrote: "That hourly dissociative attack from remembering hundreds of millions of people's only impression of you is solely based on the lowest, most toxic, most uncharacteristic three months of your life when you were 21."

Khalifa said that she was paid just $12,000 (around £9,500) for the adult films.

In an additional post to her Instagram Stories, Khalifa wrote: "Those 11 videos will haunt me until I die, and I don't want another girl to go through that - because no one should."

Now, her critical comments haven't gone down well with adult actress Abella Danger, who hit back at a fan who said that Khalifa "deserves better".

The tweet that caught Danger's attention read: "Imagine being a household name in the porn industry because of how big your videos were in the matter of the THREE months you did porn… $12k... three months & a lifetime of regret. Mia Khalifa deserves better!"

She retweeted the tweet with the response: "LMFAO, that's her fault. We choose our rates babe."

Khalifa then slammed Danger's remark, explaining that she didn't want to put an end to the adult industry, she simply wanted to start a conversation which would leave to its performers being treated better.

"Bc you walked into Venetian in 2014 'choosing your rate'? We started the same time- why are you putting me down for making industry standard? I’m not against sex work, I’m against the unethical treatment of MOST sex workers. Great to see you're thriving tho, wish you the best."

However, Khalifa's calm response did nothing to placate Danger and she slammed the 27-year-old again, writing: "Your excuses suck as much as your BJ videos."

Khalifa responded again by writing: "These sentiments are rampant from industry women. Their envy & resentment towards my noteriety is putrid, I'm told to 'be grateful to porn,' and to 'shut up and quit social media' if I'm unhappy.

"My sense of self pride doesn’t come from my felatio skills, I'm sorry yours does."

The argument left Twitter users divided.

One Twitter user stuck up for Khalifa writing: "Women putting down other women? That. Ain't. It."

Another said: "And your rate was…? Putting another woman down for clout or?"

Others were on Danger's side, saying that Khalifa shouldn't have kept her porn name if she wanted to distance herself from the industry.

One wrote: "You kept the porn name and I can't even imagine the amount of money you've made. Yeah, doing porn really fecked you over."

A second wrote: "She still goes by her porn name. She drains every little bit of clout she can get off this industry."
