Millie Bobby Brown has added another role to her repertoire - though, this time, she's playing the part of a diligent college student after enrolling at Purdue University.

Bobby Brown isn't the first celebrity to head to college after fame - Emma Watson, Eva Longoria, and Nick Cannon all began studying while balancing successful careers in the entertainment industry, per Buzzfeed. Now, Bobby Brown can be added to the list.

In a recent interview with Allure for their upcoming September issue, the Stranger Things star announced that she had enrolled at the Indiana university, and was taking online classes. Her subject of choice? Human services - which, the 18-year-old stated, is where "you learn about the system and how to help young people."

The interview - titled "Millie Bobby Brown's year of healing" - detailed that her decision to further her education stemmed from an "unhealthy situation" she found herself in with her ex-boyfriend, Hunter Ecimovic.

The highly publicized relationship between Bobby Brown and the TikTok star made headlines after Ecimovic made mind-blowingly predatory allegations on Instagram live in the wake of their breakup, Grazia reported. It was during this live stream that the then-21-year-old claimed he "groomed" then-16-year-old Bobby Brown into a "sexual relationship."

Soon after the explosive comments, Bobby Brown released a statement, commenting: "Mr. Ecimovic’s remarks on social media are not only dishonest, but also are irresponsible, offensive, and hateful."

Ecimovic has since attempted to justify his behavior, blaming his outburst on the fact he "became increasingly intoxicated" throughout the live stream, per Grazia.

Speaking to Allure about the incident, the actress said: "When you get publicly humiliated this way, I felt so out of control and powerless. Walking away and knowing that I'm worth everything and this person didn't take anything from me, it felt very empowering. It felt like my life had finally turned a page and that I actually had ended a chapter that felt so [f****ing] long."

Despite the adversity, the Enola Holmes actress appeared to ooze confidence in her Allure interview. Speaking about her responsibility as a role model, the Spanish-born Brit stated: "Of course, people can look at it as pressure or scary, but I think that's the most exciting part of my job.

"People are all looking at me, 'What are you going to say, Millie?' I'm going to say, 'Young girls deserve an education. Young people everywhere deserve equal rights. [You] deserve to love the people that you want to love. Be the people that you want to be and achieve the dreams that you want to achieve.' That's my message," she concluded.
