50 Cent appears to have made a political U-turn on Donald Trump, a week after decrying Joe Biden's tax policies.

It all began on Monday, October 19, after the 45-year-old rapper took to his official Instagram account and shared a screenshot of a TV screen which appeared to show the Democratic presidential candidate's reported tax rate plans for New York City, New York State, California, and New Jersey.

In a caption addressed to his 26.2 million Instagram followers, 50 Cent wrote:

"WHAT THE F***! (VOTE For TRUMP) IM OUT, F*** NEW YORK The KNICKS never win anyway. I don’t care Trump doesn’t like black people 62% are you out of ya f***ing mind. [sic]"

The rapper later appeared to double down on his apparent support for the Republican leader. Taking to his official Twitter account, 50 Cent then shared a recording of a Fox News broadcast story about his Instagram post.

The segment included a tweet from Trump adviser Katrina Pierson, who tweeted to her 681,000 followers: "I guess 50 cent don’t want to end up 20 cent [sic]" in reference to Biden's taxation plans.

50 Cent captioned his own video: "Yeah, i don’t want to be 20cent. 62% is a very, very, bad idea.i don’t like it ! #abcforlife #starzgettheapp. [sic]"

However, on Sunday, October 25, 50 Cent shared a video virtual interview that talk show host Jimmy Fallon conducted with his ex, comedian Chelsea Handler.

In the interview, Handler criticized 50 Cent's statements, telling Fallon:

"[50 Cent] shouldn’t be influencing an entire swath of people who may listen to him because he’s worried about his own personal pocketbook.

"So I haven’t heard back from him yet, but I am willing to, you know, seal the deal in more ways than one if he changes his mind and publicly denounces Donald Trump. I might be willing to go for another spin… if you know what I’m talking about."

On Twitter, 50 Cent replied to this by writing in the caption for the video:

"F*** Donald Trump, I never liked him. for all I know he had me set up and had my friend Angel Fernandez killed but that’s history. LOL."

Per Billboard, 50 Cent previously praised Trump's outspoken attitude in an interview in July, stating: "You know what I learned from my president? That I don't have to be apologetic. And whatever the f*** you said is fake news."

According to Billboard, last year the rapper also told talk show host James Corden that he;d turned down an offer of $500,000 to appear at Trump's presidential inauguration in 2016.
