Blink-182 are reuniting with Tom DeLonge for a new international tour for the first time since 2015 - and the group announced as much in typical Blink-182 fashion.
The group, who are set to release their new single 'Edging' this week, delighted fans on Tuesday, October 11, when they made the unexpected announcement of their reunion on their official social media accounts.
A Facebook post from the band read: "We’re coming. Tour’s coming. Album’s coming. Tom’s coming. Tickets on sale Monday. New song EDGING out Friday."
Check out the video below:Included in the post was a video with the band's trademark x-rated wordplay on the idea that the band is "coming" back with a brand new tour.
This euphemistic language is echoed in the title of the beloved rock band's new single: 'Edging'.
Needless to say, plenty of fans have been weighing in to share their excitement upon hearing the news, with many expressing their appreciation for the band's signature adult humor.
One emotional fan gushed: "I'm about to cry. Tom is back. The band is whole again. Love you guys."
Another added: "This is a great day. I for one am thrilled. Life has meaning. The simple joys are back. God bless you 3."
A third added: "I laughed so hard at this. Glad to see Tom back. Looking forward to the new music."
A forth commented: "This is the Blink we all love. Toilet humor and catchy pop punk. Love it!"
A final fan hailed the announcement as the "best news I've had in years. I will fight anyman and his dog for tickets."
Per Variety, the global tour will feature openers Turnstile in North America, Rise Against in Australia, The Story So Far in the United Kingdom and Europe and Wallows in Latin America.
Tickets for the bands tour are slated to go on sale at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 17 at blink182.com.
Blink-182 was founded by DeLonge and Hoppus in 1992, with Barker joining as the drummer in 1998. The group went on hiatus, focusing on other projects in 2005, with DeLonge working with his band Angels & Airwaves.
They reunited for a tour and new music in 2009, but DeLonge ultimately left the band in 2015. Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba then joined as DeLonge's replacement.
