Eminem is known for his irreverent humor.

The iconic rapper has never been afraid to embrace a cheeky joke or two when it comes to his music.

And the artwork for his latest album - Curtain Call 2 -  is no different.

Fans have been left howling with laughter after they spotted a couple of schoolboy gags hidden in the dramatic album cover. It turns out that, though Eminem is now 49 years old, he still has the sort of sense of humor you'd expect to see in a classroom.

The artwork features an illustration of Slim Shady making a 'horns' sign with his hand, while red curtains billow around him and neon letters spell out the album name. There's also a drawing of the Detroit skyline paying homage to his hometown, and a couple of more cryptic, calculator-style numbers floating around his head.

It wasn't long before fans of the rapper unraveled the mystery of what the numbers on the album cover meant. Eagle-eyed social media users realized that if you turned the cover upside down (much like you might do with a calculator at school) the numbers spelled out rude words.

Three of the numbers spelled out more tame - if still cheeky - words, with '800 855' becoming 'boobss', 77 1 534' becoming 'hesill', and '45 1 734' becoming 'hellish'.

The final numbers spelled out a more explicit word - 'a**hole'.

Fans have taken to Twitter to share the hidden joke, which many found hilarious.

"A**hole? HELISH, HE'S ILL, BOOBS? IDK that's just funny," one wrote, while another agreed: "This guys humour is so childish but we f***ing love it."

"No way Eminem snuck the middle school calculator joke into his Curtain Call 2 album cover," added a third, while a fourth wrote: "Why are people surprised This is the most Eminem I’ve ever seen."

It still remains to be seen whether the naughty hidden words are hinting at what sort of thing listeners can expect to find on Curtain Call 2, which will reportedly contain one new track alongside a compilation of the 8 Mile star's greatest hits.

The record is set for release on August 5, 2022.
