Fred Durst has unveiled a striking new look as he performed with his band, Limp Bizkit, at Lollapalooza 2021.
Durst, 50, who is known for his trademark goatee and backwards red baseball cap, is now rocking some silver locks and a handlebar mustache.
Last week, the rap-rock group's frontman gave his 327,000 followers a glimpse of the new look on Instagram before going public with it at the music festival over the weekend.
He captioned the post featuring his new light-colored tresses: "Thinking about you 70."
At Lollapalooza, Durst paired the look with some red sunglasses and a jacket that had only been zipped up at the top.
The performance saw the band's debut of their latest song 'Dad Vibes', which could be an indicator as to the inspiration behind the hairstyle.
In any case, when Durst took to the stage at the Chicago festival, fans just couldn't stop commenting on the transformation.
One fan wrote: "Fred Durst looks like a detective that let a case get the best of him."
Another said: "Fred Durst looks like the owner of the haunted record store Scooby and the gang investigate and find out it was him all along."
A third wrote: "I love that Fred Durst just looks like he lives in the Beastie Boys 'Sabotage' music video."
Meanwhile, a different fan chimed in: "Fred Durst looks like Chris Jericho filming Undercover Boss."
A final commenter wrote: "When you randomly turn on the Lollapalooza stream Fred Durst is dancing with the ASL interpreter."
Despite the drastic change in his appearance, fans of the band were treated to a medley of classic Limp Bizkit tracks including 'Nookie', 'Break Stuff', and some songs off their 2000 album Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water.
In June, the nu-metal group's guitarist Wes Borland hinted that Durst was, in part, the reason why they haven't put out a new album since their 2011 record Gold Cobra.
Borland remarked on the Drinks with Johnny podcast: "Fred has been consistently kind of unsatisfied with where the vision is, I guess. So we’ve released singles - like we did Ready to Go, and we did another single called Endless Slaughter that we put out."
