According to footage shared on YouTube, the lead singer Perry Farrell was in the middle of performing the band's 1988 track 'Ocean Size' when he appeared to become angry at guitarist Dave Navarro.

The agitated 65-year-old appeared to scream at Navarro, 57, before aggressively shoving him with his shoulder.

Watch the shocking moment below:

The two rockers tensely confronted each other on stage before Farrell appeared to throw elbow jabs at the guitarist.

The lights were then lowered on stage, and the music stopped, as the audience began to boo. Several crew members and bandmates, including bassist Eric Avery, quickly intervened to restrain the 'Mountain Song' musician.

The three remaining band members - Navarro, Avery, and drummer Stephen Perkins - went to the front of the stage to give a warm farewell to the shocked crowd, per videos shared online.

They raised their hands above their heads and gave peace signs before leaving the stage.

Fans who attended the show are sharing their thoughts on the shocking brawl on social media.

Photographer Brian MacKenzie, who took pictures of the concert for the venue, posted on X that the crowd thought it was a "bit" between the bandmates, adding: "Perry had a huge bottle of wine with him all evening, Navarro and Avery kept chatting with each other the whole show and seemed angrier than normal."

Another witness shared: “I was there. The crowd was bemused. Half p**sed the show ended early and half excited we may have seen the last Janes A show ever.”

The rock band, which was formed in 1985, reunited for their first show together in 14 years earlier this year. They are in the middle of a long tour in the US.

There seemed to be tensions between members earlier this week in New York City when the group played two shows at The Rooftop at Pier 17.

While performing, Farrell told the crowd his vocals were not in great shape,” Variety reported, adding that the singer allegedly said: “Ladies and gentlemen, I have to be honest with you. Something’s wrong with my voice. I just can’t get the notes out all of a sudden."

Bassist Eric Avery later acknowledged the poor performance in an Instagram post, writing: “Looking forward to getting another crack at this spectacular rooftop venue tonight. I’m optimistic we will be better."

Jane’s Addiction is scheduled to perform at Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater in Bridgeport, Connecticut tomorrow (September 15).

Navarro and Perry have not publicly commented on the incident.
