Megan Thee Stallion reportedly broke down in tears on stage after calling out a fake explicit video of her that is circulating on social media.

During her performance at Amalie Arena in Florida on Saturday night, a fan-captured video showed the rapper becoming visibly emotional.

The 29-year-old Houston native bowed her head and took a deep breath to regain composure before launching into her hit track 'Cobra'. Despite her efforts, Megan struggled to deliver the lyrics, using her hand to fan her face and cover her eyes to stop herself from crying.

The reason for her emotional display remains unclear, but it follows rumors of an AI-generated sex tape allegedly depicting her likeness circulating online.

Earlier that day, the Grammy winner appeared to address the controversy on X (formerly Twitter).

“It’s really sick how yall go out of the way to hurt me when you see me winning. Yall going too far, Fake a** s**t,” she posted. “Just know today was your last day playing with me and I mean it.”

Megan has not directly commented on the onstage incident, but she expressed gratitude to her Tampa fans for their support after the show.

“TAMPA HOTTIES! Thank you I love yall! Thee energy was everything! Love you hotties,” she wrote on Instagram, accompanying a video montage from the performance.

The AI-generated tape controversy comes just over a month after Megan’s legal team addressed “salacious accusations” from her former videographer, Emilio Garcia.

In April, Garcia sued Megan, claiming she engaged in sexual activity with a woman in his presence and created a toxic work environment. He alleged the incident caused him significant mental health issues, including anxiety and depression, per Page Six.

Megan’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, denied the allegations, stating, “This is an employment claim for money — with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her. We will deal with this in court.”

Megan isn't the only celebrity to be the victim of AI-generated explicit content, as Taylor Swift faced a similar situation in January.

According to the Daily Mail, a source close to Swift mentioned that she is contemplating legal action. "Whether or not legal action will be taken is being decided, but there is one thing that is clear: these fake AI-generated images are abusive, offensive, exploitative, and done without Taylor’s consent and/or knowledge," the source said.

Fans quickly took to X to show their support for Swift, with 'protect Taylor Swift' becoming a trending phrase. Many expressed their concern over the misuse of AI, describing the images as "every woman's worst nightmare."
