Miley Cyrus reveals Hannah Montana's 10-year challenge on Twitter and fans are obsessed

Once upon a time, Miley Cyrus had an alter ego, and that alter ego was Hannah Montana. Much like David Bowie and his many aliases, (Ziggy Stardust, the Thin White Duke, et al) Hannah Montana was a persona that Miley adopted while working on her own sitcom on the Disney Channel. The Hannah Montana show catapulted Miley into the public's consciousness and helped her emerge from the long shadow of her country singer father Billy Ray Cyrus. With her golden blonde wig and upbeat attitude, Hannah Montana was a formative pop experience for many teens and tweens growing up in the 2000s. But then, in 2013, everything changed with Miley's Wrecking Ball music video.

Now, Miley has transformed herself into an edgy and sexual-liberated woman, who isn't afraid to be provocative and empowering. From her Hannah Montana beginnings, the singer has established herself as one of the most popular artist and musicians around today. However, there are many of her fans who are pretty nostalgic about the old Hannah Montana Disney era. This week Miley delighted her many fans with a series of Hannah Montana throwbacks, which she posted to social media, which showed her with a new blonde haircut that made her look exactly like her younger self.

For instance, one person with the handle @mileyclean wrote: "You just break the internet again, you slayed it moma [sic]" while someone else named @brycekiggins chimed in by saying: "Can you please remake Hannah Montana songs? I’ll start leaking from my pores."

Miley Cyrus really is a source of endless amusement, isn't she? If you want proof, then check out the hilarious racy pic she made for her husband Liam Hemsworth, which she shared with fans on Instagram.
