Rapper Snoop Dogg has just released a new hip-hop album: a compilation of his best hits which is aimed at helping babies to sleep peacefully.

According to music site NME, the kiddie album is entitled: ‘Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of Snoop Dogg' - and is aimed at introducing infants to Snoop's music.

The 12-track compilation is due to be released on December 6, while a vinyl version was released ahead of that date on this year’s Record Store Day (November 29). You can currently pre-order a CD or MP3 version for just $16.98.

Meanwhile, the album cover art has also been released on social media. It appears to have been made to resemble a drawing on MS Paint and shows a teddy bear driving a green convertible down a highway towards Long Beach, with an exit to ''Slumber St'' on the right-hand side.
This isn't the first unconventional side-project that the musician has been involved with lately. He recently narrated a YouTube beauty tutorial for beautician and vlogger NikkiTutorials. The video was peppered with many of Snoop's eccentric observations as she applied cosmetics, such as: "smoke it out baby, for me", and "get some cream on that brizz-ush."
