Last October, Taylor Swift's sixth album, Reputation, won Favorite Pop/Rock album at the American Music Awards. "Guys, I always look at albums as chapters in my life," she said in her acceptance speech. "To the fans, I'm so happy that you like this one... But I have to be really honest with you about something. I'm even more excited about the next chapter."

Since then, fans have been abuzz with excitement, wondering when, exactly, that next chapter is coming. Well, good news Swifties! On Thursday, the 29-year-old singer held a surprise fan event at the Gulch in Nashville, and confirmed that new music is dropping tonight. Will it be an album? A single? A diss song to T-Pain, for making an 'offensive' joke about her boobs? Who knows?!

On Instagram story, Swift addressed the speculation about her seventh album's drop date. "OK so we've commissioned this butterfly mural to be painted on a wall in Nashville and put clues about the song and the new music in the mural," Swift said, per E! News. "So I'm going to go show up. The butterfly mural is painted by Kelsey Montague who painted one of my favorite murals in New York. And, uh, let's go see what happens."

When Swift arrived at the mural, she took photos with fans, and praised them for decoding the clues that led them to the surprise event. "You guys are amazing for figuring this out because no one knew we were coming," the pop star said, in a video recorded by a fan. "No one knew this [mural was] a part of the campaign, but you figured out the clue. You're the best, I love you."

"There's another clue coming on ABC, so make sure to watch," Swift added.

On April 13, Swift posted a countdown clock, indicating that something major is happening on April 26. Since April 26 is a Friday, and new albums drop on Fridays, it's safe to assume that 'something' is her seventh studio album. However, I'm still holding out hope she's dropping a savage T-Pain diss track.
