In a heart-stopping moment during her latest performance in Tokyo, Taylor Swift narrowly dodged a potentially disastrous fall as she slipped down a grass-covered set piece.

The incident - which occurred on February 9 - was captured on video by fans in attendance and later shared by a popular Eras Tour update account on X (formerly Twitter).

The video shows the moment the Grammy award-winning musician begins descending a slope of the roof of the Folklore cabin set.

About halfway down, Swift can be seen losing her footing and stumbling. Check out the moment in the tweet below:

Fortunately, the 'Love Story' singer managed to regain her balance with a swift motion of her hands, preventing a complete tumble over the edge.

Once safely back on the main stage, Swift addressed the incident with humor, telling the audience: "I almost fell off the folklore cabin, but I didn't and that's...the lesson. My life flashed before my eyes, yeah no it's all good... Everything's fine, everything's great!

"I'm just so happy I didn't fall off the Folklore cabin you know what I mean? What a great night in Tokyo!"

The 34-year-old star added that the fall nearly occurred just moment after she removed her safety harness.

Despite the nerve-wracking moment, Swift smoothly transitioned back into her performance and performed the song 'Betty' - showing her professionalism and ability to handle unexpected situations.

This certainly isn't the first slip-up (excuse the pun) Swift has suffered on the Eras Tour - which has since been dubbed the "Errors Tour" by some fans.

There was the time she messed up her now-iconic stage dive after appearing to miss her cue:

Or how about the time she accidentally swallowed a bug while performing live on stage:

"I swallowed a bug. I'm so sorry," she can be heard saying in a clip from the blunder. "[I'm] totally fine, it's just dumb. It's so stupid," she added, before joking: "Oh, delicious!"

And most recently, fans have hit out at the concert's organizers for introducing a series of rules Swifties have deemed "ridiculous".

Following her performances in Tokyo, it is expected that Swift will fly back to the US in order to watch boyfriend Travis Kelce play in the Super Bowl on Sunday night.
