A once-canceled show has found its home on Netflix.

In June 2021, NBC canceled Manifest after just three seasons - but fortunately for the beloved drama series, Netflx picked up the rights to the show's reruns and scheduled a release date for the fourth and final season.

Now, the series has become a massive hit after the streaming giant dropped the first 10 episodes of the final installment on November 4. In fact, according to the Manifest's official Twitter page, the show racked up about 57 million hours viewed in their first three days on the service.

In addition to this, the drama's first season also made its way to number 10 on the streamer's most-watched shows, with 20.3 million hours viewed by global audiences, per Deadline.

The hugely successful series' fourth season will have 20 episodes - meaning fans are now eagerly awaiting the final 10 episodes. However, no release date has been scheduled yet.

Manifest first launched in 2018 on NBC and tells the story of a group of passengers on a flight from Jamaica to New York.

But when the plane finally lands, five years have somehow passed and all the passengers have been presumed dead.

While the characters all try to move on from what happened and integrate themselves back into society, they start to experience guiding voices and visions of events yet to occur.

When the show's social media page confirmed the drama's recent success, many fans took to the platform to also share their delight, with one person writing: "So proud of this show! I bet NBC is kicking themselves right now. #Manifest"

Another user gushed: "Proud of them for making this incredible series," while a third user commented: "Thank you for saving this wonderful show @netflix imagine if we had to live with just the s3 finale #Manifest."

The show stars the Diary of a Wimpy Kid actress Melissa Roxburgh, Once Upon a Time actor Josh Dallas, Jessica Jones actor J.R. Ramirez, and Fresh Off The Boat actress Luna Blaise.

Roxburgh, 29, who plays Michaela Stone on the show, spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about what it was like when she found out that Netflix had picked up the show.

The actress explained that she "couldn't believe it" when she saw Manifest's entire catalog on the streaming service and said: "I texted [showrunner] Jeff Rake and told him to turn on his TV."

"We were both like, where did this come from? We just couldn’t believe it," she said. "Netflix bought us for a reason, and it felt like they trusted those creatives on the show to keep doing what they had been doing."

Speaking about wrapping the third season during the pandemic, Roxburgh said: "It was honestly horrible because it was still during peak covid, so we couldn’t do a wrap party or anything. So we just sort wrapped the season and that was it."

"If we had ended the show there, we all would have been a little bit depressed - I’m happy that Netflix brought us back, not only to finish the story but to give everyone a proper goodbye," she added.
