Netflix has just released a new thriller, Fractured, which has allegedly left viewers on "the edge of their seats".

It begins with Ray (Sam Worthington) returning home from Thanksgiving weekend with his wife Joanne (Lily Rabe) and daughter Peri (Lucy Capri) after suffering the all-too-common experience of a tense weekend with their in-laws.

After pulling into a rest stop, things go dramatically wrong for the family as Joanne and Peri go missing.

This happens after Peri hurts herself and is naturally rushed to hospital by her parents, where she is taken by her mom for further testing. However, the pair soon goes missing, and when Ray demands answers, the hospital staff tell him they'd never been there in the first place.

Naturally, he becomes convinced that something sinister is happening.

Debuting on Netflix on October 11, Fractured has already been described by viewers as a  "tense" movie which has left them "shook".

One person wrote: "If you're looking to have some sort of psychological turbulence this night, watch Fractured on Netflix!"

Another added: "I'm watching Fractured on Netflix and I have absolutely NO IDEA what is happening... on the edge of my seat atm! If it's good enough to tweet about it before you even finish it, you KNOW you gotta check it out!"

Meanwhile, a third said: "Just watched Fractured on Netflix and my jaw is still on the floor at that ending, kept guessing what was actually happening all the way through but did not predict that. A 10/10 film."

Fractured has been released as part of the streaming service's ''Netflix & Chills'' season.

Earlier this month, it had the addition of In The Tall Grass, which is an adaptation of a novella written by Stephen King and his son Joe Hill.
