Nicolas Cage has been among the many famous faces paying tribute to Lisa Marie Presley, who sadly passed away on Thursday (January 12) at the age of 54.

The only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, California, and was found unresponsive in her bedroom by her ex-husband Danny Keough, who also lived at the property. Keough - who fathered two children to Lisa Marie - began performing CPR on her until paramedics arrived on the scene.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles (LA) County's fire department revealed that paramedics were called around 10:40 AM to a report of a woman in full cardiac arrest. Lisa Marie was then taken to hospital where she sadly passed away several hours later.

Her mother, 77-year-old Priscilla, released a statement shortly afterward, stating (via BBC News): "It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss."

Several other famous faces paid tribute to the late singer - whose first album in 2003 went certified Gold and sold hundreds of thousands of copies - including David Bowie's estate who wrote: "More sad news with the passing of Lisa Marie Presley who suffered cardiac arrest yesterday. The daughter of Elvis and Priscilla was just 54 and had been seen in public with her mother only two days at the 80th Golden Globe Awards. She is pictured here with David and Iman in 2005."

"Lisa baby girl, I'm so sorry. I'll miss you but I know I'll see you again. My love and heart goes out to Riley, Priscilla, Harper and Finley," actor John Travolta stated via The Independent.

Lisa Marie's third husband, actor Nicolas Cage, 59, also paid tribute to his late ex-wife. "This is devastating news. Lisa had the greatest laugh of anyone I ever met. She lit up every room, and I am heartbroken," Cage stated via his manager to CNN. "I find some solace believing she is reunited with her son Benjamin," he added.

The pair had been married for two years, though had filed for divorce just four months after their 2002 wedding, PEOPLE detailed. The mom-of-four had also been previously married to Michael Jackson from 1994 to 1996.

Lisa Marie leaves behind three daughters - actress Riley Keough (whose father is Lisa Marie's first husband, Danny Keough), and twins Harper and Finley, who were born during their mother's marriage to musician Michael Lockwood.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to Lisa Marie Presley's family, friends, and fans at this tragic time.
