Priscilla Presley has shared a heartwarming tribute to her daughter Lisa Marie Presley on the first anniversary of her death.

Many people were left heartbroken by the sudden passing of rock legend Elvis Presley and Priscilla's 54-year-old daughter on January 12, 2023.

Lisa Marie passed away after going into cardiac arrest and was found unresponsive in her bedroom by her housekeeper. Her ex-husband Danny Keough administered CPR until paramedics arrived on the scene.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office disclosed that the mom-of-four died of a bowel obstruction. The obstruction was a result of adhesions caused by weight-loss surgery she underwent several years ago, as reported by the BBC.

The singer-songwriter is now being remembered by her family one year after she died.

Her 78-year-old mother took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a heartbreaking tribute, writing: "Today is a very solemn day. It’s been a year since your passing and not a day goes by where I don’t think about and miss you."

"Rest in peace, Lisa," she continued. "You are in the arms of your beloved father now. Only that… gives me comfort," before signing off the post with an affectionate "Mom" and a red heart.

Priscilla's post was inundated with messages of support from followers who had also been thinking of her daughter.

One user wrote: "Thinking of you today P. Sending thoughts, prayers, and hugs. I’m around if you need anything. May Lisa’s memory be an eternal blessing," while another said: "May she rest easy, and be proud of everything."

A third added: "May God give you strength, peace, and comfort Priscilla."

Lisa Marie's oldest daughter, Riley Keough, also took to Instagram to mourn her absence by sharing a throwback picture of the duo from when she was a child.

The mother-daughter duo appeared to be sitting at a diner, with Keough smiling at the camera while her mom looked down at the game board wearing a light gray crewneck sweater and a black hat.

The 34-year-old simply captioned the picture with a red heart emoji.

Lisa Marie left behind three daughters: Keough and 14-year-old twins Harper and Finley Lockwood, as well as her brother Navarone Garcia, and her mother.

A week after her death, she was buried at her father's estate, Graceland, in Memphis - alongside her father, her son Benjamin (who died by suicide in 2020 aged 27), her paternal grandparents, and her paternal great-grandmother.

Her sudden death came days after her final public appearance at the 2023 Golden Globes - where Austin Butler received the best actor award for his portrayal of Elvis in the recent Baz Luhrmann biopic about the singer.

At the 'Lights Out' singer's funeral, Keough's husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, revealed during an emotional speech that Presley became a grandmother just before she died.

Priscilla also spoke at the memorial and read a beautiful speech written by one of her granddaughters, whom she did not name.

"I have no idea how to put my mother into words," she read, as cited by PEOPLE. "Truth is, there are too many. Lisa Marie Presley was an icon, a role model, a superhero to many people all over the world."

"But, Mama was my icon, my role model, my superhero, in much more ways than one. Even now, I can't get across everything there is to be understood or known about her, but as she always said, I'll do my best,'" she concluded.

Our thoughts continue to be with Lisa Marie's family, friends and fans.
