Olivia Rodrigo has been applauded after offering fans free boxes of emergency contraception at her concerts.
The 21-year-old 'Drivers License' singer is currently performing at The Guts World Tour, which is her first arena tour in support of her 2023 sophomore album, Guts.
Olivia Rodrigo's set "falls apart" during VMAs performance:
The tour began on February 23, 2024, in Palm Springs, and will conclude on August 17, 2024, in Inglewood, comprising 77 shows across North America and Europe.
On Tuesday (March 12), Rodrigo made a bold statement after handing out packets of the emergency contraception brand, Julie - which helps prevent pregnancy when taken within 72 hours after unprotected sex.
Check out the post below:"Free Plan B is being given out at @OliviaRodrigo's GUTS WORLD TOUR in St. Louis tonight by @MOAbortionFund," a user named @RodrigoTimes shared on X, formerly Twitter.
The picture showed that they received a morning-after pill, heart-shaped stickers with abortion resource links, and a square sticker with a QR code and the words: "Funding abortion? It’s a good idea, right?" written across it.
According to the post, the items were from the Missouri Abortion Fund and Right By You - a text hotline that connects young people to abortion care, birth control, and information about reproductive rights.
Many fans took to their social media to praise the young singer for her latest initiative as one person gushed: "She's freaking awesome for partnering with them to do this!"
A second user remarked: "Abortion is almost completely banned in Missouri too so this is really great to see free contraception being given out like this," while a third commented: "This is actually so amazing."
A fourth added: "To have the new generation of mainstream pop girls be this brave and this willing to be 100% clear about an issue that is SO polarizing. I have tears in my eyes it’s awesome to see."

In addition to this, Rodrigo is also donating a part of her GUTS tour ticket sales to The National Network of Abortion Funds, a non-profit incorporating 100 different abortion funds around the US, that help reduce economic and logistical barriers for people seeking abortions, as shared by Cosmopolitan.

After the overturning of Roe v. Wade in June 2022 - which was when the US Supreme Court ruled in favor of a Mississippi law that bans abortion at 15 weeks of pregnancy - Rodrigo shared a few words on stage.
"I'm devastated and terrified that so many women and so many girls are going to die because of this," she said at the Glastonbury festival. "I wanted to dedicate this next song to the five members of the Supreme Court. This song goes out to the justices: Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, and Brett Kavanaugh. We hate you."
NNAF executive director Oriaku Njoku spoke to USA TODAY about their partnership with Olivia, sharing: "Supporting abortion funds has never been more critical, in an era where abortion access is under relentless attack."
"We are excited to be in partnership with Olivia Rodrigo, as she's uplifting the critical work of abortion funds, and leading (her fans) into the movement towards reproductive freedom," they added.
