It's only been a few hours since Paris Hilton announced that she had welcomed her first child with her husband Carter Reum and she's already being slammed for supposedly editing the photo... Yikes.
Posting to both Instagram and Twitter, the 41-year-old socialite told her 21.7 million followers that she and her husband, also 41, have extended their little family, welcoming a baby boy via surrogate.
Alongside a photograph of the newborn's fingers wrapped around her own, Hilton wrote: "You are already loved beyond words," with a blue heart.
While the news was well-received by most people, others couldn't help but focus on a specific element of the snapshot: The baby's nails.
Check out the post below:That's right, social media users took to Twitter to call out the singer for editing the newborn's nails, with some even going as far as referring to it as "creepy."
"Why [did] she edit the picture [?] baby nails look like it’s been missing vitamin D," wrote one user.
"Paris Hilton’s baby announcement pic is creepy bc why is it so perfect like the finger nails lol," added another.
A third also stated that the "baby" must be "nine years old" judging by the image: "What baby has those nails!! This baby is 9 years old or extremely edited."
"Did she edit the baby’s nail bed," another also questioned.
"It’s the baby’s nails… they make me uncomfortable."
Regardless of the alleged editing scandal, kind messages congratulating the star poured in including love from other famous faces such as Kim Kardashian, Chrissy Teigen and Heidi Klum.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Hilton described this new experience as her "dream."
"It's always been my dream to be a mother and I'm so happy that Carter and I found each other," she said. "We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy."
