Jenna Ortega is known for being one of the biggest superstar sensations currently working in the entertainment industry.

Which is why many of her fans may have been questioning why a star of her caliber hasn't appeared in the hugely popular Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Well, it turns out she already has...

While the actress has risen to global fame with her standout performances in various hit TV shows and films, including You, Wednesday and the Scream franchise, her brief stint in the MCU had largely flown under the radar.

In fact, many fans regularly take to X to share their hopes to one day see Ortega in the MCU - completely oblivious to the fact that she has already been seen alongside our favorite superheroes.

"Expect Jenna Ortega to sign her contract to play a role in the MCU soon", one person tweeted, with another adding: "I wanna see Jenna Ortega in the MCU."

A third tweeted: "It’s only a matter of time before Jenna Ortega joins the MCU".

But Ortega actually joined the MCU over a decade ago. Back in 2013, Ortega played the daughter of Vice President Rodriguez in Iron Man 3.

She was just 10 years old at the time of the movie's release, and although her character isn't given a name, it certainly meant a lot to the overall plot of the movie.

Throughout the film, viewers learn that Ortega's character has a disability and lost her leg - leading to her father to work secretly with Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) to overthrow the current government and in the hopes that he can access Extremis (an advanced form of genetic manipulation) to one-day help his daughter.

She's seen placing all of her innocent hope and trust in her loving father, who is ultimately corrupted by the allure of Extremis.

So there you have it - if you've ever been wondering why a star as big as Ortega has yet to be cast in the MCU, it's because she already has! I guess we'll just have to wait and see if she makes a return to the franchise in the years to come.

In fact, there has been a lot of fan interest in seeing Ortega return to the MCU as White Tiger in the upcoming series Daredevil: Bron Again:
