A teenage mother who gave birth at 16 has revealed that her boyfriend blamed her for having "ruined his life" with her pregnancy.
The new series of Teen Mom UK: Next Generation has started airing and it will follow five teenage mothers as they navigate the trials and tribulations of motherhood.
One of the young moms in the new series is 18-year-old Ellie Jones, who gave birth to her two-year-old son Tommy when she was only 16 years old.
The show will show us the drama between her and her boyfriend Luke - the father of her son - as they deal with their new parenting life.
Watch Ellie speak about motherhood and Luke below:Ellie's pregnancy had come as a surprise as she was on contraception at the time and still in school, meaning she had "no money and no job," per The Sun.
She shared with viewers that Luke is her first boyfriend and had struggled to deal with the pregnancy news, telling her "you've ruined my life".
"Tommy is already two-years-old, it’s crazy to think I met his dad Luke when we were 14. We were just a couple of shy kids," she said. "Two years later, everything changed, when I found out I was pregnant, I was already six months gone, three months later, Tommy was born."
"For me, it was the best feeling in the world, but I think Luke feels like he's missing out on his teenage years," she went on. "He wasn't happy. Luke was like 'you’ve ruined my life'. To him, I ruined everything. He was a good boy for sticking with me, he didn’t have to."
Luke also opened up and said that when he found out he was going to be a father, it was a "big shock to the system," admitting that he "wasn't ready to be a dad".
He said that he "found it really hard to give up the nights out with my friends" and that their relationship may be "reaching breaking point" two years after their son was born.
Upon seeing the clip, some viewers have given their perspective on the couple's situation, with one user claiming: "The last teenage couple will definitely not gonna last very long."
"He admits that he wasn't ready to be a dad and [is] jealous [of] his friends [because] they can have fun meanwhile he needs to stay with his kid. He even doesn't care about his kid and his girlfriend either," they added.
And another user shared: "At what point does the mother get to relax and chill out and get a [break]? You sound very selfish."
Ellie said that she believes her boyfriend expects her "to do all the parenting" and claimed that she doesn't put the effort in while he is out working as a decorator to earn money for the family.
According to The Sun, the mother confessed that their constant disagreements about her motherhood makes her want to pack her bag and leave, but "that's not life".
"I know Luke is tired, but so am I. It makes me so angry when he acts like my life is easy," she concluded, per the outlet.
