An influencer from the United Kingdom got emotional as she discussed the backlash she received after revealing her baby's unique name.

Liana Jade, a twenty-four-year-old YouTuber from Wales, took to TikTok after she found out that her baby's name was mocked on a fellow YouTube couple's podcast.

Liana, better known by her social media handle @lianajadee, and her other half Connor Darlington decided to name their son Koazy - a charming and unique name for a little boy if we ever did hear one - but unfortunately, the moniker became the subject of criticism on an episode of The Unplanned Podcast with hosts Matt and Abbey.

The clip was reposted to TikTok where Liana stumbled across it and it immediately upset her.

"...They were talking about people naming their kids new and original names," Liana started while wiping away tears. "They were saying how ridiculous some of these new, unique names were."

Apparently, they even said that calling your child something unique was a "red flag", and that "it might not be the flex you think it is."

"Basically, our baby is called Koazy [pronounced Cozy] and I know it's not everyone's cup of tea... but people have pulled it out of context," Liana told her millions of followers. "People have said we called him Koazy because he was cozy in the womb. But no. It was a name we already had and as I was getting so heavily pregnant, people were saying 'he's so cozy in your belly.'

"It confirmed to us that is what we should name him... we were like 'Oh my God, it's meant to be,'" she added before saying: "I wasn't trying to name him anything for a flex."

"I knew everyone wasn't going to love the name so I am not going to sit here defending it," Liana continued in the two-minute clip. "Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But it's just different when there's this comment section open on such a big influencer's video of people, fully grown adults, just sat there slandering my baby's name."

She then added: "I think it's quite cruel – and if I had posted that video personally, I think I would have been very mindful of who was being named and how that can have an effect on other people."

Many took to the comment section to show their support for the lifestyle influencer with hundreds of TikTokers applauding the choice of name for their son.

"Koazy is a cute name it fits him soo well it's so sweet and cute [...] DONT listen [to] them [...]," wrote one user while another added: "My family disagreed with our baby name... we're in the UK and called our baby Randy.. they hated it and I don't give a hoot! Ignore them love."

The comments have now been disabled on the video, but Liana has continued posting content with her son loud and proud on the platform - as she should!
