A plus-sized model has slammed an online clothing store for allegedly photoshopping her body.
Sarah Jane Kelly, from Sydney, Australia, claims that fast fashion retailer Shein smoothed her skin, flattened her stomach, and shrunk her waist in the modeling shots they posted on their website.
She took to TikTok to hit out at the brand in a clip that has since racked up over 1.5 million views.
In the video, Kelly shows viewers a snap of her modeling an outfit for Shein that the company posted on its website. She then appears wearing the exact same outfit and trying to control her body to look the way it does in the picture - but to no avail.
Watch the video below:"When you are the model in the picture and even your body doesn't look like that either," she wrote in overlay text on the clip.
"Just a reminder when you're online shopping next," she captioned the video, adding the hashtags "reality check" and "beauty standards are fake".
Unsurprisingly, many people were outraged that Shein appeared to have edited Kelly's body. They took to the comments section to share their shock.
"This is why I [DESPISE] plus size model [pictures] on Shein and everywhere bc... they say plus size AND THEN EDIT OUT THE PLUS FROM IT," one person wrote.
"I'm so tired of the editing going ham. Like I understand some blemishes/color correction but changing someone's shape isn’t helpful 2the consumer/model," another wrote.

Meanwhile, many viewers thanked Kelly for helping them deal with their own insecurities by exposing the fashion industry's secrets.
"Wait omg rly? I get so insecure bc all of the plus-size models look skinny. There's not a roll on them so I can't buy any of the clothes," one person commented, while another agreed, writing: "This helps me a Lot!!"

Others called for more models - particularly those working with fellow fast fashion brand Fashion Nova - to come forwards and expose how companies photoshop their models.
One wrote: "We need every celebrity and model to do this." Another added: "I need fashion nova models to come forward."
