Following intense scrutiny from fans, Post Malone has addressed rumors surrounding his health in a new social media update.
Taking to Instagram on April 28, the 27-year-old rapper decided to put it all to rest after fans noticed a drastic change in his body over the past few months while touring both India and Australia.
"Hello everybody, I hope you’re having a great night," the singer wrote in the caption of a new selfie. "I wanted to say that I’m not doing drugs, I’ve had a lot of people ask me about my weight loss and I’d suppose, performance on stage.
"I’m having a lot of fun performing, and have never felt healthier," he continued before telling fans about the little changes he's made to his lifestyle that have had a dramatic difference.
"I guess dad life kicked in and I decided to kick soda, and start eating better so I can be around for a long time for this little angel," he said.
He also added that he plans on dropping cigarettes and "brews" from his diet though he joked that it will take some intense work as well as "patience" in order to do so.
"I’ve spent a bit in the studio lately working on new music, and am so excited to share it with you, thank you for your patience and support y’all," he went on to explain. "You make my heart beat. I just wanted to say hi, and hopefully, I’ll be posting more on here, my brain is in a super dope place, and i’m the happiest i’ve been in a long time.
"If you’re having a hard time or need some love, I can say that you’re loved more than you know, and keep f****** crushing it. Goodnight nerds, spread love and rock on," he concluded.
The post got over a million likes in just mere hours, as well as thousands of comments from fans and friends alike who praised the 'Better Now' singer for his honesty.
"Protect Posty at all costs," wrote one user.
"You’re a special guy Posty," added another.
"What a shame it is that you have to explain this in the first place. Again. Keep kicking ass kid! We are all so very proud of you," a third said.
And this user seemed extremely passionate about his love for the rapper saying: "Doesn’t f****** matter if u were doing drugs... everyone saying that does drugs. Ur such a gentleman, & u make magic. As long as u remain a Wizard Sweetheart... do what the f*** u want. And u look good/in shape!"
And this Instagrammer also agreed: "U don’t gotta explain yourself we know u ain’t on drugs. This made me happy made me smile almost CRIED."
Back in February, the 27-year-old's dad was forced to address concerns surrounding his son's extreme weight loss saying he is the "healthiest he’s been in years" while responding to a fan.
TMZ also reported that sources close to Malone also said the same thing.
