Kelly Osbourne has defended her choice not to breastfeed her baby once she gives birth.

The 37-year-old, who is the daughter of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, announced that she is expecting her first child back in May with Slipknot musician Sid Wilson.

Recently, in an episode of Red Table Talk, she opened up more about her pregnancy and revealed the reasoning behind her decision to not breastfeed.

"I have chosen to stay on my medication instead of breastfeeding and the judgment that I have received from my friends and also extended family is wild," she shared with hosts Jada Pinkett Smith and Adrienne Banfield Norris.

The former Fashion Police presenter spoke about the reactions people around her have had towards her decision, such as the possibility of missing out on a bonding experience with her child.

"I’m like, 'Don’t you think I know that?' What kind of mother am I gonna be if I start going backward, if I start being self-destructive?" she said in response to those comments.

"It’s something for me that I’m learning that I can’t pay attention to the milieu. It has to be what’s best for me, what’s gonna be the best for my baby. If I don’t do that, what kind of mother am I going to be?" she added.

Also, the first-time mom-to-be said she felt "really hormonal" and described her pregnancy experience so far as "one of the roughest, most weirdest, wildest".

Elsewhere in the interview, Osborne gushed as she spoke about her famous parents' support, and said: "I feel very blessed. My parents have been so incredible, I feel forever indebted to them."

She also said her parents have "stopped trying to fix her" and "force her" into being the daughter they thought she should be. She also explained that she hasn't argued with her mother in about a year, which she described as "huge".

In May, Osborne celebrated one year sober again, having previously been almost four years sober before relapsing in April 2021, which she revealed during a previous appearance on the Facebook show.

The reality star first announced her pregnancy news in a heartwarming post on her social media page with a picture of her baby’s sonogram.

"I know that I have been very quiet these past few months so I thought I would share with you all as to why… I am over the moon to announce that I am going to be a Mumma," she wrote to her 2.5 million fans. "To say that I am happy does not quite cut it. I am ecstatic!"
