A pregnant Kelly Osbourne has officially revealed the sex of her first baby to Entertainment Tonight, five months after first announcing her pregnancy.

The middle child of Sharon Osbourne and Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne told the media outlet that she and her boyfriend, Slipknot's Sid Wilson, would be having a son.

Though, Kelly said that her father, Ozzy - who is already a grandfather to four girls from Kelly's younger brother, Jack - was so excited he accidentally revealed his unborn grandchild's gender before his daughter even had the chance.

"I mean, he's told everyone the gender of my baby before I ever got the chance to, and I'm just like, 'Aww Dad, come on. Like, come on.' But I will say, every single day he does this little song and this little dance about how excited he is, and he is so excited that it's a boy. It's the first—out of me and my brother, it's the first boy, so, he's like planning all these things," Kelly stated.

The 37-year-old television personality first announced her pregnancy with 45-year-old Sid via an Instagram post in May, uploading an image of an ultrasound scan with the caption: "I know that I have been very quiet these past few months so I thought I would share with you all as to why… I am over the moon to announce that I am going to be a Mumma. To say that I am happy does not quite cut it. I am ecstatic!"

While her father has been at the forefront of the heavy metal scene since the 1970s as the frontman of Black Sabbath, the Osbourne clan became household names for mainstream audiences during the early 00s with the release of their reality TV show, The Osbournes.

Ozzy (AKA The Prince of Darkness) swiftly became a fan favorite, with his potty-mouthed antics and hilarious parenting techniques.

In fact, the opening scene of the first episode showed Ozzy attempting desperately to work a TV remote, angrily stating: "I'm a very simple man. You've got to have computer knowledge to turn the f***ing TV on and off. I pressed this one button, and the shower started. I'm going: 'What is this? Where am I, man?'"

Sadly enough for the family's growing fanbase, the show ended just three seasons later, in 2005, despite the amount of viewers tuning in rapidly increasing.

While successful (and incredibly entertaining) Ozzy told NME in 2020 that the family made the decision to swiftly end the show due to its insane success, telling the publication: "The level of success that TV show got us was too much. I'm not upset that I did it, but I wouldn't do it again. People were going: 'Aren't you worried about losing your fans?' I said: 'I'm not worried about losing my fans – I'm worried about losing my f***ing mind.'"

Despite revealing her pregnancy in May, Kelly and Sid only publicly announced their relationship in February, though, the pair have been friends for many years, with Kelly writing on Instagram: "After 23 years of friendship I can't believe where we have ended up! You are my best friend, my soulmate and I am so deeply in love with you Sidney George Wilson."
