Pretty Little Liars alum Ashley Benson has revealed that she is engaged to Brandon Davis as she showed off her stunning engagement ring.
On Friday (July 7), the 33-year-old actress announced the joyful news after resharing a photo to her Instagram Story that featured her massive oval-cut diamond engagement ring.
The picture was reposted from her soon-to-be husband's own Instagram page, where he’d captioned the photo: "Love of my life." In her own post, Benson shared her adoration for her fiancé, writing: "My best frienddd. I love you."
Following the happy news, the couple was showered with affection from their close friends, including Benson’s long-time friend Theresa Picciallo who shared a screenshot from FaceTime of the actress smiling while flashing her new ring.
"Our babies are getting married!!!!!! @ashleybenson & @brandondavis1111, we love you both unconditionally, endlessly, forever and always. Congratulations to our best friends!!!", Picciallo wrote on Instagram.
Benson's 44-year-old boyfriend is the grandson of a billionaire oil tycoon named Marvin Davis who built his wealth through lucrative business deals in both the oil and entertainment industries.
Davis sold his oil holdings in the early 1980s and began funding entertainment and real estate, acquiring companies such as Pebble Beach Company, the Aspen Skiing Company, 20th Century Fox, and the Beverly Hills Hotel, according to a 2004 New York Times obituary.
The couple first sparked romance rumors in January after being spotted sitting courtside at a basketball game. One month later, PEOPLE confirmed their relationship via a source.
"They have a lot of mutual friends and are both super fun and very social people," the source close to the couple told the publication at the time.
Prior to her engagement to Davis, Benson was in a relationship with supermodel Cara Delevingne for two years, before the pair eventually parted ways in May 2020. That same month, she became involved with rapper G-Eazy, however, the pair allegedly broke up and got back together multiple times.
While she has shared her flourishing romance with Davis on social media, she has largely kept her love life private, candidly telling Cosmopolitan UK back in 2021 that she wants to protect her relationships.
"I usually keep my relationships private," Benson explained. "You obviously can’t help if you get photographed together. [But] it’s more sacred that way. Those private moments are for you and your partner, and I think it’s best not to be over-exposed, and you can really protect your relationship if you’re not exploiting it.
"The most annoying part is having to sit back and be quiet while everybody talks about you and you have to deal with it," she added.
