A rapper has claimed he's the first person on the planet to have genuine gold chains as his "hair".

Dan Sur says the blinged-out chains hang from hooks that were surgically implanted in his head to achieve the dramatic look.

The reggaeton musician has been showing off his new hairdo to his two million followers on social media, and it's safe to say he seems to love it.

Per MTO News, Sur installed loads of hooks all over his head so that he could attach the chains. It's reported that he wanted his end result to look like he had come "straight out of a jewelry store".

"The truth is that I wanted to do something different because I see that everyone dyes their hair. I hope not everyone copies me now," he said in one of his videos.

"I have it as a hook that is implanted in my head and that hook has hooks and they are all hooked in my skull, under my skin."

"This is my hair. Golden hair. The first rapper to have gold hair implanted in human history," he added.

Caracol TV reports the rapper underwent the surgery in April earlier this year.

The new hair seems to pay for itself as Sur's followers have shot up from 12,000 to a whopping 1.9 million on TikTok.

It seems as though Sur has taken a leaf out of fellow rapper Lil Uzi Vert's book, after the 'Xo Tour Llif3' hitmaker implanted a diamond into his forehead.

The 'Erase Your Social' rapper, 26, unveiled the extravagant accessory, which apparently cost a staggering $24 million, earlier this year in February.

Recently, though, it appears that Lil Uzi was moments away from bidding farewell to the jewel after his excited fans manhandled it.

Uzi claims that his fans actually "ripped" out the expensive from his forehead after he jumped into the crowd at a concert.

Noticing he was not wearing the diamond - but a barbell piercing instead - a TMZ reporter asked the performer over the weekend: "What up, Uzi? You still that got that diamond brother?"

To which Lil Uzi responded: "I had a show at Rolling Loud and I jumped in the crowd and they kind of ripped it out."

When asked how he was feeling after the incident, the rapper said: "I'm feeling good. I still got the diamond so I feel good."
