Fans have been left confused and disgusted after Reese Witherspoon decided to show them what she likes to do on snowy days.

Taking to TikTok, the 47-year-old showed her 8.9 million followers a recipe for what she likes to refer to as 'Chococinnos'.

But it has one special ingredient in it... fresh snow. Yeah, you read that right.

"So we got a ton of snow over the past few days. We decided to make a recipe," the Morning Show star said in a voiceover. "So first we scooped the snow into cups, and we added salted caramel syrup, and some chocolate syrup. And then we decided to add some cold brew."

Witherspoon sat down to enjoy her slushy drink but as she decided on the best options to name her creation, hundreds of fans gathered in the comments to slam her for her "gross" actions.

"No no no.. snow is not made to eat.. u can get seriously sick," wrote one user while another agreed saying: "Fallen snow can be very dirty from the air and wind but who cares. You only live once. I remember eating snow as a kid."

A third weighed in on the conversation writing: "Am I the only one concerned that she scooped it off of her car?" and this user question: "What if birds pooped in [that] snow?"

Others also branded the action as "gross," with one user even going as far as saying that it was "disgusting."

Despite the concerns, other fans stood by the actress' home recipe.

"So nobody grew up eating snow cream? Man y’all missing out," this TikToker commented.

"My mom makes snow ice cream every year when it snows. I thought everyone did this?" another user added and this user confirmed that "As long as you don't eat the yellow snow, you're good!"

In a follow-up video, Witherspoon addressed all the backlash.

"We’re kind of in the category of 'you only live once; and it snows maybe once a year here. I don’t know!" the star said as she laughed. "Also, I want to say something... It was delicious! It was so good."

A fan also requested that Witherspoon put snow "in a clear cup" and "let it melt," so she posted another TikTok video doing exactly that.

"There [are] so many people on here saying that snow is dirty," she began. "So we went and took snow from the backyard and we microwaved it and it’s clear."

As she held up a glass jar of what seemed to be clear water, Witherspoon added: "Is this bad? Am I not supposed to eat snow?"

And in a third video, she asked fans whether she just needed to filter the snow just like she filters water, though she noted that as a child, she would drink water with her mouth on the tap, and she and her siblings would do the same with a hose.

I mean each to their own, but I'd highly recommend just getting some ice and making some slightly cleaner slushies.
