Robert Irwin is reportedly dating Heath Ledger's niece, and fans are going absolutely crazy for what could be the ultimate Australian power couple.
Irwin, 19 - son of the late Steve Irwin - has taken over from his father as a much-loved crocodile tamer and all round great guy when it comes to the care of animals.
He boasts a following of 4.6 million followers on TikTok, with fans enjoying that he picked up exactly where his dad left off.
Rumors are now swirling about a possible new romance in the wildlife warrior's life, and it's with the niece of Heath Ledger.
Per the Daily Mail, Irwin was spotted getting cozy with Rorie Buckey on what appears to be a date complete with food and cuddling.
The pair were photographed eating takeaway from a Grill'd restaurant as Irwin looked absolutely smitten with his date, unable to take the smile off of his face.
Buckey is the daughter of the late Heath Ledger's sister, Kate. Rumors of a romance between the pair have been ongoing for a while after Irwin followed his alleged new girlfriend on Instagram, and the new images really add fuel to the fire.
They haven't confirmed their relationship yet, but it'll be hard to keep it quiet now they've been spotted cuddling in what seemed to be a rather romantic evening.
Fans have taken to social media to voice their utter glee at the prospect of the two being romantically involved. One person said: "Good for them, they look very happy and they make a cute couple," and a second added: "So happy for you both… enjoy your happiness."
Irwin's father, Steve, sadly lost his life in 2006 whilst filming a new TV show. Whilst getting footage for Oceans Deadliest, the crocodile hunter was struck by a sting ray. Paramedics attempted to save the conservationist's life but he passed away before reaching the hospital, per the Daily Mail.
Buckey's uncle, Leader, passed away in 2008 after accidentally overdosing on prescription drugs, soon after concluding filming of The Dark Knight, for which he won a posthumous Academy Award, per The Sun.
We wish the (apparent) new couple all the best!
