Sam Smith has stunned audiences after making their catwalk debut at Paris Fashion Week.

Appearing in Vivienne Westwood's show at Paris Fashion Week, the 31-year-old donned some pretty bold outfits for the designer - the first of which included an array of tartan prints.

Strutting with a poker face, the star was seen wearing blue and green kilt-inspired briefs which exposed their behind as they walked along with a deep V-neck jumper. They completed the look with a red-and-orange tartan cape, and red-and-black knee-high tartan socks emerging from an off-blue and orange platform stiletto.

To top it all off, in their hand was a giant, wooden staff.

The second look was just as impactful, but in a whole different way.

Smith sported a black cover-up comprised of a silver dotted top and an enmeshed patterned floor-length jacket that had some holes near the thigh region as well as the upper arms, giving fans a glance at what was underneath.

They accessorized this look with a mesh veil and wide-rimmed hat that completely covered their eyes.

This is not the first time we've seen a major, viral look by Smith.

Last year in February, the Grammy-award-winning star faced intense backlash over their outfit choices when they performed at the Grammys.

The 65th annual Grammy Awards saw Smith take to the grand stage with Kim Petras for a performance of the pair's Number 1 hit, 'Unholy.'

However, soon afterward, the performance was slammed on social media, with multiple people deeming it "satanic" - given that both Petras and Smith sported blood-red outfits and were enveloped by backup dancers dressed as the Devil. Smith even donned a red top hat complete with horns.

At their Gloria tour, which also had dates all throughout 2023, we also saw some similar looks.

One particular 'fit that grabbed people's attention was an all-black ensemble with red and gold detailing. Alongside the corset and puffy sleeves, they also completed the devilish look with fishnets, knee-high boots, a top hat that had multiple red devil horns sticking out of it as well as a diamante-encrusted pitchfork.

Other unique - and very risque - costumes involved latex briefs, along with a long veil that trailed back - again playing on this religious-core kind of vibe while performing a cover of Madonna's hit 'Human Nature.'

Smith, best known for their songs 'Stay With Me,' 'Too Good at Goodbyes' and 'Unholy', has previously spoken out on the hate they have received over the years but more particularly since they came out as non-binary in 2019.

Speaking to Zane Lowe on his Apple Music show, they said that the most difficult thing about coming out was the public barrage of hate.

"I think the only negatives in the struggle have been my public life and my job, and the amount of hate and s**tiness that came my way was just exhausting. It was really hard,” they told Lowe. "This isn’t me sitting at home Googling my name... it was in the f**king news. It was hard not to look. I can deal with not Googling myself, not reading comments.

"That’s something I can control," they continued. "What people don’t realize with trans-non-binary people in the UK is... it’s happening in the street."
